<p>We are hiring for a BC Registered Early Childhood Educators to join our team. This is a full-time permanent positions working Monday - Friday. Full-time in our 3-5 program. Early childhood educators plan, organize and implement programs for children between the ages of infancy and 5 years. Two years of experience working in a large daycare centre an asset. Working as a team, Early childhood educators and assistants lead children in activities to stimulate and develop their intellectual, physical and emotional growth and ensure their security and well-being. The main duties include:</p><ul><li><p>- developing and implementing the child-care program</p></li><li><p>- leading activities, both individual and as group activities guiding and assisting children in their development planning and maintaining an environment that protects the health, security and well-being of the children</p></li><li><p>- establishing and maintaining a collaborative relationship with co-workers and parents</p></li><li><p></p></li><li><p>Responsibilities include:</p></li></ul><p>- Assess the children’s development in order to prepare a learning plan tailored to his needs.</p><ul><li><p>- Assist co-workers in housekeeping and cooking duties</p></li><li><p>- Supervise trainees or volunteers</p></li><li><p>- Synthesize the overall situation of the children and communicate the information to the parents</p></li><li><p>- Encourage children to express creativity through the media of art, dramatic play, music and physical activity</p></li><li><p>- Engage children in activities by telling stories, teaching songs and preparing crafts</p></li></ul><p>-Guide and assist children in the development of proper eating, dressing and toilet habits</p><p>-Prepare snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods</p><p>-Observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioural problems and prepare reports for parents, guardians or supervisor</p><p>-Submit written observations on children to early childhood educators or supervisors</p><p>-Discuss progress and problems of children at sta" meetings</p><p>-Knowledge of licensing regulations</p><p>-Establish guidelines for behaviour</p><p>-Attend meetings to discuss progress and problems of children</p><p>-Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers working with children</p><p>-Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security and well-being of children</p><p>-Supervise and co-ordinate activities of other early childhood educators and early childhood educator assistants</p><p>-Administer first-aid and other assistance</p><p>-Administer first aid in emergency situations</p><ul><li><p></p></li></ul><p></p>
