Piccioni Bros. Mushroom Farm Ltd. is looking for Six (6) Mushroom Farm Supervisors to perform the following duties:
Co-ordinate and supervise the work of general farm workers and harvesting labourers
Supervise and oversee growing and other crop-related operations
Ensure farm safety and bio-security procedures are followed
Maintain quality control and production records
Develop work schedules and establish procedures
Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment
Train staff and do performance review
Must be able to have performance conversations and hold workers accountable
Ensure all personnel assigned specific duties have proper training
Ensure only authorized personnel are in attendance
On completion of day, ensure area is swept, clean and equipment and tools are stored safely
Ensure proper cleaning and sanitizing was done the night before
Ensure a safe work environment is maintained by keeping areas free of debris and ensuring harvesters are practicing safe picking techniques
Verify the count of harvested mushrooms and stacking them neatly on skids and mushroom cart to be transferred to packing and weighing area
Inspect completed pallet for quality, customer specifications, and tagged
Ensure the loading dock is working properly and report problems to maintenance for repairs
Ensure that quality audits are performed continuously and respond quickly when control limits are exceeded
Perform monthly inventory counts
Check equipment set up and ensure it is set up correctly/safely and in line with company policies and procedures
Ensure farm workers follow company procedures and standards of practice
Ensure farm workers adhere to health, safety and hygiene standards in accordance with company rules and regulations
May perform general farm duties

Salary: $23 per hour; 40-60 hours/ week - Early Morning, Day, Evening, Weekend, Flexible hours
Permanent, Full-Time

Education: No education requirement
Experience: Minimum 1 year mushroom farming experience required
