THE OPPORTUNITY
As a Procurement Clerk, you will play a crucial role in supporting the procurement department's day-to-day operations. You will work closely with procurement managers and vendors to ensure the timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to contribute to a growing company's success and develop their career in procurement. You will be a valued and integral part of the project team and will work with both, Engineering and Fabrication business units.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
Procurement
• Coordinate the procurement process, including purchase requisitions, purchase orders, and vendor communication.
• Assist in supplier selection, evaluation, and performance monitoring.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather procurement requirements and specifications.
• Monitor and track order status, ensuring timely delivery and resolving any issues that may arise.
• Assist in the development and implementation of procurement strategies to optimize costs.
• Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in procurement.
• Generate reports and dashboards to provide insights into procurement performance and spending.
• Assist in maintaining accurate procurement records, including purchase orders and vendor contracts.
• Monitor supplier performance and adherence to contract terms.
Expediting/Receiving
• Verify scheduled ship dates and vendor information.
• Work with internal and external stakeholders to coordinate delivery and take necessary action to obtain required materials.
• Issue weekly Expediting Reports for incoming materials.
• Validate and enter receipt of materials and services.
Vendor Invoice Processing
• Validate and process vendor invoices; confirm receipt of equipment or completion of service, paying particular attention to accuracy of cost, cost coding,rates, and adherence to purchase order.
• Confirm purchase order close-out upon final invoice submission.
QUALIFICATIONS
• High school diploma. Post-secondary education is considered an asset.
• 1-2 years of experience in a similar role.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Suite and data analysis tools.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Eagerness to learn and adapt to new challenges.
• Prior internship or work experience in procurement or supply chain is a plus.
• Solid understanding of procurement principles, strategic sourcing methodologies, and contract management.
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in written form.
