Position: Pharmacy Assistant

Duration: Permanent, Full-Time

Hours: 32/week Minimum in a week

Salary: $24.00/hr

Overtime: As per provincial standards - $36.00 after 8 hrs/day, 40 hrs/week

Observed Holidays: As outlined on labour.gov.bc.ca – 10 holidays/yr

Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

Experience: Experience as an asset

Job Duties:

Compound, package and label pharmaceutical products
Maintain prescription records and inventories of medications and pharmaceutical products
Ensure the information on prescriptions is accurate, enter client information in databases and prepare medications for clients
Maintain inventories of medications and prescription records of pharmaceutical products
Carry out clerical works including, filing prescriptions, invoices, reports, correspondence and memos and complete any administrative support functions assigned.
Perform general clerical duties
Keep the pharmacy clean, organized and dust-free
Manage routine office functions including reception, telephone and booking appointments
Order supplies and equipment
Organize and maintain inventory
