One (1) Medical Laboratory Assistant/Phlebotomist in Toronto, ONFull-Time

Green Clinic West is looking for One (1) Medical Laboratory Assistant/Phlebotomist to perform duties, including the following:

·         Collect, label, sort and prepare blood, tissue and other samples from patients

·         Collect blood specimens from patients by venipuncture and capillary puncture techniques.

·         Log and validate patient samples and prepare them for testing

·         Set up medical laboratory equipment

·         Prepare chemical reagents to be combined with biological samples for testing

·         Conduct routine laboratory tests and sample analyses

·         Perform quality assurance of testing techniques and record results

·         Clean and maintain medical laboratory and medical laboratory equipment.

·         May provide front-desk support

·         Use and maintain electronic medical records (EMR) and ensure accurate documentation.

Terms of Employment:

·         Salary: $36.92 per hour ($5600 per month) / 35 Hours per week

·         Permanent, Full Time

·         Start date: immediately

Job requirements:

·         Language: English

·         Education: Completion of a college certificate program in medical laboratory science or equivalent.

·         Experience: Minimum experience of one (1) year
