Boulangerie La Vendéenne Incorporee is a French artisanal bakery and food manufacturing company on the south shore of Nova Scotia. We produce baked goods such as: Sourdough breads, baguettes, buns. Non sourdough breads and pastries such as square loaves and traditional baguette and round and oval shaped breads. Brioche and Viennois buns and breads. Pastries such as chocolate croissant, almond croissants and various tarts. We produce for the retail shop and wholesale customers. We have a meals-to go line of soups, pastas, and pizza. As well as Helen B Preserves which uses locally sourced fruits and vegetables.

Prepare and mix dough using commercial bakery mixers
Scale and divide dough using professional bakery equipment
Laminate dough for Viennois and specialty products
Shape, proof, and bake breads and pastries
Peel, chop and cook vegetables and fruits for preserves
Follow production schedules and established recipes
Maintain quality, consistency, and presentation standards
Ensure cleanliness and food safety compliance

Our Night Baker is responsible for preparing and producing bakery items overnight to ensure fresh products are ready each day. This role is ideal for someone who values craftsmanship, consistency, and traditional European baking methods. Typical shifts are 5pm-4:30am. This is a permanent full-time position.
