Pay: $21.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
Responsibilities:
Daily Schedule Management: Implement a daily schedule that includes child-directed activities, care routines, and transition times.
Physical Care: Attend to children’s physical needs such as diapering, toileting, eating, and sleeping.
Child Support and Bonding: Encourage and support each child, bond with them, and provide a nurturing and stable environment.
Educational Program Development: Develop and implement a high-quality early childhood education program in accordance with the BC Early Learning Framework.
Environmental Quality: Plan and maintain a high-quality environment that enhances the health, security, and well-being of children.
Activity Balance: Provide a daily balance of active/quiet, indoor/outdoor, and individual/group activities.
Child Assessment: Assess the abilities, interests, and needs of children and collaborate with parents and other staff members to support their development.
Communication: Communicate clearly, thoroughly, and in a timely manner, both in written and oral English.
Team Engagement: Be genuine, supportive, engaged, and a productive team member who is open to feedback and guidance.
Professionalism: Maintain regular attendance, punctuality, and a professional appearance at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid BC ECE license required
- Valid Emergency First Aid & CPR-C Certification
- Previous Childcare experience is considered an asset
- Clear criminal record check
