We’re hiring Grounds Maintenance Labourers for our 2027 season. This seasonal, full-time role is a great fit for people who enjoy physical work, being outdoors, and taking pride in visible results. No experience is needed — we provide on-the-job training, and students, young people starting out, and anyone looking for a hands-on seasonal job are encouraged to apply.

Job Details

• Wage: $20.00 per hour

• Hours: Full-time, 60 hours per week — Monday to Saturday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. 

• Employment type: Seasonal, full-time

• Duration: April 22, 2027 to November 22, 2027

• Work location: On site at Sandhill Nursery, 1686 Aspdin Rd, Huntsville, and at client properties in the Huntsville area. No remote work.

• Benefits: Vacation pay (4%); paid on-the-job training

Key Responsibilities

• Mow, trim, and edge lawns

• Plant bulbs, flowers, shrubs, and trees; tie and secure plants

• Weed, mulch, water, and maintain garden beds, lawns, and plantings

• Prune and shape shrubs and trees

• Lay sod and seed; cart and spread topsoil, mulch, and other materials

• Rake and collect yard waste and debris; assist with spring and fall clean-ups and general property maintenance

• Water gardens and troubleshoot minor irrigation issues

• Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and small-engine equipment (mowers, trimmers/edgers)

• Maintain and clean landscaping equipment

• Support the grounds team with daily upkeep tasks
