The Crystal Lodge is a 158-room property located in the centre of Whistler, British Columbia that is recruiting Housekeepers to join our team.

These positions are full-time, permanent and year-round.

Job duties:

The Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, presentation, and overall comfort of guest rooms and public areas.

Duties include sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, washing, polishing floors and furnishings; making beds, changing linens, replenishing towels and guest amenities, and restocking linen closets and supply areas. The role also involves cleaning and disinfecting bathrooms, kitchens, fixtures, appliances, elevators, and other public spaces, as well as washing windows, walls, and ceilings, removing waste and debris, and reporting and securely storing lost and found items.

Housekeepers will respond to guest requests for additional supplies, provide basic information about hotel facilities when required, assist in addressing guest concerns, and ensure all assigned areas meet the hotel's cleanliness, safety, and quality standards.

Job requirements:

• There are no specific education requirements for these positions as full training will be provided.

• Certification for housekeeping room attendants or similar certification is not required

• Previous Housekeeping/ Cleaning experience is an asset

Wage:

The Housekeeping position pays the following hourly rates:

Start rate: $22.75

Probationary pass rate: $23.75

One year rate: $25.75

Hourly wages are reviewed by the business on an annual basis.

Hours of work:

Between 30-40 hours per week, overtime may be available throughout the year.
