Salary: $18.15 - $22.97/hr / 30-40 hours per week

Job Duties

• Assist clients with personal care including bathing, grooming, and dressing
• Prepare and serve meals according to dietary requirements and preferences
• Perform light housekeeping duties including laundry, cleaning, and tidying
• Assist clients with mobility and transfers using proper lifting techniques
• Administer medications as directed by healthcare professionals
• Accompany clients to medical appointments and community outings
• Monitor and report changes in client's health condition to supervisor
• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients and families
• Maintain records of client care activities and observations
• Follow infection control and safety procedures at all times

Requirements

Languages: English

Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma

Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year

Work Conditions

• Work in client's home
• Physically demanding — lifting and transferring clients
• May require working evenings and weekends
