we are a private family in Surrey, BC, seeking for a compassionate, reliable , and patient full-time live-out Home Child Care Provider to provide individualized care and supervision for our school-aged child with ASD. We are committed to providing safe, respectful, and supportive work environment.
Private household in Surrey, BC , is seeking a compassionate, patient, and reliable Home Child Care Provider-Special Needs Child to provide care for a child diagnosed with ASD. The successful candidate will provide individualized care and supervision, support the child's daily routines and developmental activities, and help maintain safe, nurturing, and structured home environment.
Duties
-Always supervise and ensure the safety and well-being of the child.
-Assist the child with daily routines, including dressing, personal hygiene, mealtimes, and establishing consistent schedules
-Prepare nutritious meal and snacks according to the child's preferences and dietary needs.
-Engage the child in age-appropriate educational, recreational, and developmental activities.
-Support behavioural and communication strategies as guided by the parents and healthcare professionals involved in the child's care.
-Accompany the child to school, community activities, therapy sessions, or appointments as required.
-Encourage positive social interaction and promote independence appropriate to the child's developmental level.
-Maintain a clean and organized environment and perform light housekeeping duties related to the child's care, such as tidying play areas, washing the child's dishes and laundering the child's clothing.

Requirements
Qualification and Experience
• Secondary school completion is required
• Previous Experience caring for children is required
• Experience working with children with ASD, developmental disabilities, behavioural needs or other special needs is strongly preferred.
• Current First Aid and CPR certification is an asset.
• Demonstrated patience, compassion, reliability, and the ability to work independently in a private household setting.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
