Salary: $17.29 - $20.43/hr / 35-40 hours per week

Job Duties

• Supervise and care for children in employer's or own home
• Prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks for children
• Organize and participate in age-appropriate activities and outings
• Maintain a safe, clean, and healthy environment in the home
• Instruct children in personal hygiene and social development
• Discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents
• Bathe, dress, and feed infants and toddlers as required
• Tend to the emotional well-being and comfort of children
• Transport children to and from school, appointments, and activities
• Assume full responsibility for household in absence of parents
• Keep records of daily activities, behaviours, and meals

Requirements

Languages: English

Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years

Work Conditions

• Work in employer's or client's home
• Active supervision of children at all times
• Non-smoking environment
