Fence Installer Full-Time

Abby Fence Contracting Ltd. located in Abbotsford, BC is currently hiring 2 full-time “Fence Installers” to join their growing team, who will be required to work at various locations in the Lower Mainland areas of BC.

Salary: $27.50 per hour

Anticipated Start date: As soon as possible

Work Location: Abbotsford, BC, and various other job sites in the Lower Mainland area (BC) as per the company’s contracts with its clients.

Position Responsibilities

·                Read blueprints, drawings, or work order specifications to plan layout and installation procedures. 

·                Measure and lay out fence lines and mark posthole positions, following instructions, drawings, or specifications

·                Dig post holes in which the fencing will be positioned.

·                Set metal or wooden posts in upright positions in postholes and align posts using plumb bobs or levels.

·                Mix and pour concrete around bases of posts, or tamp soil into postholes to embed posts

·                Join, raise, and secure segments of the fence in place.

·                Install, repair, and service fencing and decks using hand and power tools.

Job requirements:

●       Completion of Secondary school is required.

●       Minimum 9 months of installation work experience in a similar field is required.

●       Ability to communicate in English.
