Position:  Dump Truck Driver

Employer:  Empire Paving Limited

Location of Work:  various locations (Toronto, GTA, outside of GTA)

Salary:  $26.00 per hour, for 40 hours/week

Language:  English required

Education:  No degree, certificate or diploma

Experience:  4 months

Working Conditions and Physical Capabilities:  Attention to detail, Large workload, Physically demanding

Personal Suitability: judgement, reliability, team player

Transportation:  Valid driver’s license (Class 3 or D), Air Brake (Z) Endorsement

Tasks:

• Drive special purpose trucks (dump truck)

• Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials

• Load and unload goods

• Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes and other equipment

• Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle

• Perform preventive maintenance
