Job Duties
• Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and pass tools during procedures.
• Greet patients, take vital signs, and provide support, such as calming nervous patients.
• Take and process dental X-rays.
• Make temporary crowns, take impressions for study casts, and clean laboratory equipment.
• Schedule appointments, manage inventory, and update electronic patient charts.
• Maintain and clean laboratory equipment and tools in accordance with safety standards
• Ensure compliance with infection control and quality assurance procedures

Employment Requirements
• Completion of secondary school with on-the-job training is required OR completion of an eight-month to one-year college or other program in dental assistance
• Previous experience as a dental assistant and on-the-job training is an asset
• Knowledge of dental procedures, instruments, and infection control standards
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
