The Grizz Hotel, located at 200 3 ST W Revelstoke, is looking for three cooks to work in the kitchen of our hotel. This will be a full time permanent position with at least 8 hours a day and 40 hours a week.

Job duties:

• Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods

• Prepare and cook special meals for guests as requested

• Schedule and supervise kitchen helpers

• Oversee kitchen operations

• Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment

• Set up and oversee buffets

• Clean kitchen and work area

• Plan menus, determine size of food portions, estimate food requirements and costs, and monitor and order supplies

• May hire and train kitchen staff as needed

What we offer:

• Full-time, permanent employment (30–40 hours per week).

• Competitive wages of $20.00–$22.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.

Requirements:

• Minimum 1–2 years of experience as a Cook or Line Cook in a hotel, restaurant, café, resort, or commercial kitchen.

• English is required

• Completion of high school is required

• Experience preparing breakfast items is considered a strong asset.

• Knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and kitchen equipment.

• Strong understanding of food safety, sanitation, and safe food handling procedures.

• Food Safe Level 1 Certification, or willingness to obtain upon hire.

• Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.

• Strong organizational and time management skills.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

• Reliable, punctual, and able to work early morning shifts.

• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
