Position: Child Caregiver - Private Home

Vacancy: 1

Wage: CAD $20.00/hour 

Types: Full-time, Permanent

Working hours: 30~40 hours/week

Benefit: 4% vacation pay

Job Duties:

·       Supervise and care for children aged 1 and 5 in employer's home;

·       Assist children with daily personal care needs, including bathing, dressing, and feeding;

·       Change diapers for the younger child, as required;

·       Provide care and supervision for the younger child, including naps and age-appropriate developmental activities;

·       Plan, prepare, and serve nutritious meals and snacks for children;

·       May perform other housekeeping duties;

·       Oversee children’s daily routines, including meals, rest periods, and activities as directed by the parents;

·       Maintain a safe, healthy, and clean environment in the home;

·       Instruct children in personal hygiene and healthy habits;

·       Support the emotional well-being of children and encourage positive social development;

·       Discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents;

·       Organize and lead age-appropriate educational and recreational activities such as games, crafts, reading, and outings;

·       Accompany the children to appointments and activities as required

·       Keep daily records of children’s activities, behavior, and health-related information.

Job Requirements:

·       Completion of secondary school is required;

·       Minimum 6 months of child care experience or completion of a training program in child care or a related field is required;

·       Criminal record clearance is required.
