A private household in Langley, BC V1M 2P1 is seeking a Child Caregiver to provide care for children in a private home.

Position: Child Caregiver - Private Home

Vacancy: 1

Wage: CAD$ 20.00/hour 

Types: Full-time, Permanent

Working hours: 30~40 hours/week

Benefits: 4% vacation pay

Job Duties:

·      Supervise and care for the children in the employer's home.

·      Plan, prepare, and serve nutritious meals and snacks.

·      Perform light housekeeping duties related to the children's care.

·      Oversee the children's daily routines, including meals, homework, and extracurricular activities, as directed by the parents.

·      Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home.

·      Encourage good personal hygiene and healthy habits.

·      Support the children's emotional well-being and encourage positive social development.

·      Discipline the children according to the methods requested by the parents.

·      Organize and facilitate age-appropriate educational and recreational activities, including reading, crafts, sports, outdoor activities, games, and community outings.

·      Accompany the children to and from school, appointments, and extracurricular activities as required.

·      Keep parents informed of the children's daily activities, behavior, and any health-related concerns.

Job Requirements:

·       Completion of secondary school is required;

·       Minimum 6 months of child care experience or completion of a training program in child care or a related field is required;

·       Criminal record clearance is required.

·       Language at work: English
