Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials
Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems
Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware
Survey building locations and levels
Maintain, repair and renovate residences and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants and other establishments
Experience and specialization

Requirements

Applicants should demonstrate strong knowledge of carpentry techniques and the safe use of hand and power tools. The ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications is required. Candidates must be physically fit, able to lift heavy materials, and work in various weather conditions.

Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team are essential. Basic English communication skills are required to follow instructions and ensure workplace safety.

Preference may be given to candidates who are reliable, punctual, and willing to learn. Experience working on residential or commercial construction sites is considered an asset.
