Tutti Frutti Breakfast & Lunch in Edmonton is hiring a full-time Bakery Supervisor.

We operate in a senior living/community environment and serve many senior residents and guests. We are looking for a reliable, experienced, and detail-oriented candidate with strong bakery production or food service experience, as well as a respectful, patient, and compassionate attitude toward seniors.

This is not an entry-level position. The Bakery Supervisor will be responsible for supervising and coordinating daily bakery and food service operations, preparing, baking, finishing, and displaying breads, cakes, pastries, and other baked goods according to company standards.

The successful candidate will help plan daily production based on expected sales, customer demand, inventory levels, and product shelf life. Duties include monitoring product quality, freshness, expiry dates, cleanliness, and display standards; assigning daily tasks to staff; training new employees in job duties, sanitation, food safety, workplace safety, and customer service procedures; and supporting staff workflow during busy service periods.

The Bakery Supervisor will also help monitor inventory, order ingredients and bakery supplies, reduce waste, maintain consistent product availability, and ensure all work areas, equipment, storage areas, and displays are clean, organized, and safe. The position requires professional communication with customers, senior residents, guests, and staff, including handling product concerns or service issues in a respectful and patient manner.

The successful candidate must be organized, punctual, able to work independently, comfortable supervising staff, able to work in a fast-paced bakery and restaurant environment, and available for day shifts, weekends, holidays, and early shifts as required.

Requirements

Minimum 1 year of experience in baking, bakery production, restaurant kitchen, supermarket bakery, or food service operations is required.

Supervisory, team lead, staff coordination, or staff training experience is required.

Experience with bakery production planning, inventory control, expiry-date monitoring, ingredient ordering, or product freshness control is an asset.

Experience working in a senior living community, retirement residence, healthcare food service, or hospitality environment serving seniors is an asset.

Must be respectful, patient, compassionate, and comfortable serving senior residents, guests, and customers.

Food safety, sanitation, and workplace health and safety knowledge is an asset.

Must be reliable, punctual, organized, detail-oriented, and able to work independently.

Must be able to work in a fast-paced bakery and restaurant environment.

Must be able to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.

Must have good communication, teamwork, time management, and problem-solving skills.

Must be available to work day shifts, weekends, holidays, and early shifts as required.
