Job Details:

The selected candidate will be expected to perform the following job duties
Oversee kitchen operations
Maintain cleanliness of kitchen with cleaning schedules
Ensure items needed are put on a requisition form and that the form is completed in full before delivery to the Receiver
Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods
Prepare and cook special meals for patients as instructed by dietitian or chef
Schedule and supervise kitchen helpers
Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment
Assist in plan menus, determine size of food portions, estimate food requirements and costs, and monitor and order supplies
Hire and train kitchen staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food

Experience:

1 to 2 years of work experience in the related field
Completion of secondary school or has equivalent experience

Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills
